For over a decade, Andrew has been successfully running Juice Promotions which has completed projects for major international brands including Coca Cola, Heineken, Audi, Panasonic and Air New Zealand. Within the last year, and a baby on the way, Claire came into the business to drive sales and expand Juice Promotions!
Entrepreneurs at heart, these two believe in creating value in the market by building on the skills that they already have in sourcing, manufacturing and delivering quality products.
Together, Andrew and Claire are re-inventing Juice Promotions to not only continue to serve brands with quality promotional merchandise but look to create innovative products or work with budding entrepreneurs looking to make their product visions come to life! “We’ve served some of the biggest brands in the world but our passion is in innovation,” Murphy said. “We want to work with other entrepreneurs to help fill gaps in the market, and our team has the ability, the experience and the capacity to make it actually happen."
With an obsession to create value in the market, the idea for 'The Airport Jacket' first emerged when the pair were travelling home from Hobart Airport with a newborn child. “We had so much extra carry-on luggage because of our baby that the airline tried to charge us $140 – more than the cost of our flight! We started jamming clothes, computer chargers, nappies and toys into my pockets until we were right on the weight limit, but everything was spilling out of my pockets and the journey was pretty uncomfortable. We thought – wow, there is definitely a massive need for a better solution than this. And so The Airport Jacket concept was born,” Murphy said.
A former fashion designer and frequent traveller herself, Murphy noticed that while a small number of luggage jackets are available already in the market, none offer the stylish design and capability for concealment that 'The Airport Jacket' offers consumers. “There really is a large gap in the market in terms of a jacket that does it all while looking fashionable – and in that respect The Airport Jacket is unrivalled,” Murphy said.
With the launch of their very first product on Kickstarter, capable of raising millions in startup capital for innovators and dreamers, both Andy and Claire are incredibly excited about the opportunities that this platform can offer and those with big ideas. The economy is primed for creative ideas and the possibilities are endless!
